Little Palm Island Divers
Little Palm Island Divers is an on
island PADI Resort Dive Center staffed with experienced professional
boat captains and scuba instructors. We provide all the necessary
equipment for your snorkeling or diving adventure. All dives are
instructor guided for your saftey and enjoyment.
All trips are aboard the Island
Girl a 30-foot Coast Guard licensed and inspected dive boat.
It is designed for the comfort of both snorkelers and divers.
Looe Key Reef Trips -
This trip departs daily, weather permitting, in the morning and
afternoon with snorkelers and divers on board the Island Girl.
We stop at two different locations for about an hour each before
returning to the resort. Looe Key is a protected area within the
Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. It is a barrier reef with
distinctive spur and groove coral formations and a wide variety of
marine life. With depths between 5 and 30 feet, it is one of the
best reefs in the Florida Keys.
Discover Scuba Diving
- This is an introductory scuba diving experience for those not yet
certified. It consists of a short classroom session, learning a few
basis skills in the pool and then two dives on the reef with your
instructor.
Scuba Review -This is
a pool refresher session where we review many of the skills you
learned in your certification course. This is for those who want to
review their skills in a controlled environment (the pool) prior to
diving at the reef. It is required if the diver has not been diving
within the past two years. This course includes two dives with your
instructor.
The Adolphus Busch Dive
- The Adolphus Busch is a 210-foot island freighter intentionally
sunk on December 5, 1998 in about 115 feet of water. Combine this
dive with a reef dive to see the best we have to offer all in one
trip. Enriched Air is available upon request.
Twi-Nite Dive - This
dive on Looe Key is offered during the summer months when the sun
sets later than 7:30 pm. This is two dives at one location - a
twilight dive before sunset and a night dive after sunset. Dive
lights are provided.
Certification Courses - PADI Open Water Diver; PADI
Advanced Open Water Diver; PADI Enriched Air -
These certification courses are offered as home-study programs to
minimize the time you need to spend in a classroom while you are
on vacation. You must contact us in advance so we can send you the
training materials to complete the book work at home. When you
arrive, we complete the class work, conduct the pool training (Open
Water course only) and complete the required open water training
dives.
To save even more vacation time,
you can do all your class and pool work at a local PADI dive center
and then you only have to complete your training dives with us.
