GENERAL INFORMATION PAGE - SHERATON MOOREA LAGOON RESORT & SPA - FRENCH POLYNESIA

THIS IS NOT AN ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT - FULL MEAL PLAN (BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER) IS AVAILABLE

Gaze across the unruffled surface of the Sea of Moon as you stand on the shore of the Sheraton Tahiti and you will see Moorea, the quintessential dream of Polynesian Paradise, often thought to be James Michener’s mythical “Bali Hai.”

A ten-minute flight or 30-minute catamaran ride from Tahiti will bring you to this pristine island of extraordinary white beaches, volcanic peaks, vanilla and pineapple plantations and a beauty and remoteness essentially untouched by modern man.

This is Sheraton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa ...

Opened in October 2000, Sheraton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa is the perfect realization of a South Seas fantasy.  Here the outside world fades quickly as you relax in a private, air-conditioned bungalow rising above a spectacular 10-acre lagoon.

A viewing panel in the floor reveals jewel-colored fish beneath your feet.  A ladder drops from your landing into the warm lagoon, should you feel tempted to join them for a swim.  On land, each fare (Tahitian for house) stands amidst luxurious gardens or on the beachfront.  And each bungalow features a private outdoor shower with unparalleled views.

Each of the hotels 54 over-water bungalows and 52 garden and beach bungalows are equipped with all the modern conveniences found in a world-class hotel, including special touches like ceiling fans and claw-footed tubs.   Especially popular with honeymooners, the "island on an island" over-water rooms are connected by winding, wooden walkways built on stilts over the lagoon.
